At Alta1, we understand that deciding to enrol your child is a big step especially if school hasn’t worked out before.
Our enrolment process is relational, trauma-informed and transparent, designed to help families feel supported every step of the way.
We take the time to listen, understand each student’s story, and make sure we’re the right fit to meet their needs.
Together, we build a pathway toward learning, belonging and purpose.
Alta1 welcomes students in Years 7 to 12 who are experiencing barriers to learning or engagement in mainstream education. This may include:
Every application is considered individually, with compassion and fairness.
Enrolment at Alta1 is not just about filling in forms it’s about finding the right environment where your child can succeed.
We consider each student’s educational, social and emotional needs and our capacity to provide the right support.
We believe in full partnership with families, and we ask for openness and honesty about your child’s background, wellbeing and learning history so we can tailor the right plan from the start.
All information is handled confidentially in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Our Enrolments Team reviews every EOI carefully to understand your child’s circumstances and ensure we can meet their needs.
If we need more information, we’ll reach out directly or connect with our wellbeing staff for guidance.
If Alta1 is a good fit, you’ll receive a formal offer of enrolment, including the required forms and agreements.
Once everything is signed and returned, we’ll confirm your child’s start date and begin preparing for orientation.
Before classes begin, your child will take part in a tailored orientation designed to make the transition comfortable.
This includes meeting teachers and chaplains, touring the campus, and setting personal goals through their Documented Plan (DP) – a personalised roadmap for academic and wellbeing growth.
Alta1 is committed to providing inclusive education and upholding the Disability Standards for Education (2005).
We make reasonable adjustments to support students with disabilities or additional learning needs, in consultation with families and professionals.
If specialised supports fall outside what we can safely or reasonably provide, we’ll work with you to explore the best alternative pathway.
Some campuses have waitlists due to high demand. At times we may need to close ‘Expressions of Interests’ for certain regions and year groups. We encourage you to keep an eye out on our social media channels and revisit this page to stay up to date.
